Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Ireland: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Ireland showcased varied trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a consistent presence in the Irish market. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, with a peak of about 4K in mid-February. The app's active user base remained robust, averaging around 470K throughout the quarter.

TFI Live experienced a steady user engagement with weekly downloads reaching up to 3.3K by the end of January. Active users saw a growth trend, peaking at approximately 274K in late February.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a fluctuating download pattern, starting the quarter around 2.4K and ending with similar numbers. However, weekly active users showed a notable increase, climbing to about 66K by the end of March.

Google Earth saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 1.4K and decreasing to just over 1K by the end of March. Active users, however, increased towards the quarter's end, reaching nearly 14.8K.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar showed a unique trajectory with its downloads peaking at 761 in early February. The app's revenue experienced growth, peaking at $142 in the same period, while active users saw a gradual increase, reaching 442 by the end of the quarter.
